Gateway Pediatric Surgery Center attends Oregon Dental Conference

A recent article found on Becker’s ASC Review, highlighted some differences between in-office surgery, and procedures performed in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). Two big findings included:

 

  • The cost is twice as high for procedures performed in an office, versus ones performed in an ASC
  • The risk of admission to a hospital within 7 days of outpatient surgery is higher for patients who had their surgery done in an office, versus in an ASC
